Play Area Bark is a lovely natural product that is tested for impact so approved for use on playgrounds as a cushioning material - make sure you protect those little heads in case they come off the slide too fast or go right over the bar on the swings!
This is also a decorative bark so it's great for smartening up shabby beds and borders and for surrounding your best plants and shrubs to really show them off to their best.
Play Bark is tested to BSEN1177 which is a fall height standard - do please remember that this is a natural wood product so if the kids start rolling through it they are likely to still get splinters - if you're worried about that then you may want to consider rubber chippings or play sand instead.
50ltrs and the perfect option if you want a small quantity or if you have access issues and will need to carry through your house or over any walls etc.
How much do I need?
PlaySafe Bark works two ways — as a decorative bark in beds and borders, or as a safety surface in play areas. Coverage depends on which one you're doing.
As a decorative bark (beds, borders, paths):
x5 bags — covers 5m² at 50mm decorative depth, or 3.3m² at 75mm for paths
x10 bags — covers 10m² at 50mm, or 6.7m² at 75mm
x20 bags — covers 20m² at 50mm, or 13m² at 75mm
x40 bags — covers 40m² at 50mm, or 27m² at 75mm
As a play area safety surface (recommended minimum depth 150mm to meet BSEN1177):
x5 bags — covers approx. 1.7m²
x10 bags — covers approx. 3.3m²
x20 bags — covers approx. 6.7m²
x40 bags — covers approx. 13.3m²
